New server Upgrade…
Upgraded the server again… went a whole lot smoother than I thought it would. Let me know if something is broken.

Not much been happening lately. I’m stuck at work yet again.
I do want to mention thought; now that I have the site up an running pretty much as I want it, I’ll be adding quite a few pictures in the next couple of weeks. I have so many that I’d like to post. It may be slow going as I’ve got a few other projects in the background, but I should have quite a few up before the months end.
I broke the photo gallery last night. I was trying to fix a problem with one of my user accounts and deleted everything. I have the pictures back up this morning, but I have to rework the directories and delete a few things.
Learning these little quirks is just one of the problems with rebuilding my system from scratch. However, it’s going well and is already much more stable than my old machine.
EDIT: The Photo Gallery should be up and working as normal now.
After a lot of testing and troubleshooting I was finally able to get the photo gallery back online. After the reinstall, I lost all the database information associated with the pictures. This includes all the descriptions, summaries, etc.
Gallery3 is in the final stages of development right now. I’m not sure I’m going to keep this current version, so that means I probably won’t update the files or database until I evaluate the new version.
For a look, visit the Photo Gallery link in the menu above.
I figured that one of my favorite pictures would serve nicely to test the embedded functions of WPG2.
Well… here we go again.
I know… my track record for keeping this thing updated wasn’t so good in the past few months. The problem was the fact that I was running on a very old machine that just didn’t want to work anymore. Every time I tried writing a post or changing something on the site it would crash. In turn, this took down other key functions the box was handling. I just couldn’t have it go down for days on end. Toward the end of it’s life, I started having hard drive problems and it just wasn’t a good situation. I promise I’ll try to keep the new install up and running, but I can’t guarantee anything.
I lost quite a few good posts, items and thoughts I really didn’t want to get rid of. However, I made the choice not to use it for stability reasons. Three years of thoughts and ideas gone. It pains me as I sit here thinking about it. I do think this was the wisest choice though.
It might be nice to have a fresh start.
Things will be changing. It’s going to take some time. Have patience.
