On February 22, 2008 we added a new addition to our family. She’s small, cute, hyper, furry, and from the Christian County Humane Society. Her name is Sadie, and she’s our new German Shepherd puppy.
For the past year or more, we’d been looking to adopt a dog. For those of you who have kept up with this blog, you know that the last 2 dogs we adopted didn’t work out for us. This one seems a perfect match. Not only is she healthy, all her vet paperwork is in order, she’s crate trained (though Kristie did have a bit of problem since she apparently isn’t kitchen trained.
), and microchipped for easy tracking in case she ever gets lost. She doesn’t jump that much, and she is short enough that she can’t nip at Kristie’s face.
In all, she’s a wonderful addition. Already having a bit of training with sit, and down, she’s picking up heel well when we walk. There is still quite a bit of puppy in her as exhibited by her high level of hyperactivity, but that hasn’t been too much of a problem yet. She’ll likely grow out of that stage soon enough anyway.
You can see her adoption page here: http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=10282823
Oh…. we didn’t keep the name Butters though.
