Oil and water

After a quiet day today, I’m looking forward to getting a bunch of needed work done tomorrow.

Church this morning was good… not what I’m used to, but good. We had a guest speaker who I just didn’t care for. I went in with the attitude of getting all that I could out of the service because I haven’t had the opportunity to go the last 3 weeks and I can always feel when I’ve been out of church for too long. Something about the guest speaker didn’t strike me though. I’m not sure if it was his preaching style, his message or what, but I just didn’t feel God moving as much as I have in the past. I may be going to church on Wednesday night to see what that service is all about. I’ve heard that the services on Wednesday are really good, and I was told the speaker who is supposed to be there will be good.

After service, and a much needed nap, Kristie, Kendall and I went to Lake Pewee to fish for a while. Kristie and I both caught a few bluegill, not much bigger than a few fingers, but we caught some none the less. Kendall got to play around in the water a bit… though we told her not to get too wet cause we didn’t want her smelling like fish all night long. We also got to watch some guy training his two Golden Retrievers. They were beautiful dogs and just kept going and going with tails wagging almost constantly.

Tomorrow is going to be a day of work. Not only have I been putting off the dishes for a number of days, I’ve also been putting off mowing the lawn. I so hate mowing the lawn and can’t wait until its winter again so that I don’t have to worry about it any more. I also need to change out the oil in my Jeep since its about 1,000 miles past due. Since I’m doing all that… I figured it would be a wonderful time to change and flush the radiator system. I know it hasn’t been done since I bought the vehicle, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t done since its been sold originally. I figure I’ll be spending quite a bit of time outside working tomorrow. Hopefully it won’t be too hot though. :-D
